Sport Court game courts are custom designed to fit your yard/communal space and budget, as well as to include the sports and games you want to play.

There are NO set sizes. However, here are some typical size ranges:

• Our half court/shooting courts range from: 400 sq. ft. to 1200 sq. ft.
• Our multipurpose courts (with one basketball hoop) range from: 1200 sq. ft. to 2400 sq. ft.
• Our full courts range from: 2400 sq. ft. to 5600 sq. ft.
• Regulation size tennis courts are normally 7200 sq. ft.

Game courts range in price based on the size, materials, accessories, and the configuration you choose.

Here are the typical budget ranges (site preparation NOT included**):

• Half court/shooting courts: $20,000 to $40,000 + tax*
• Multipurpose courts (with one basketball hoop): $35,000 to $65,000 + tax*
• Full courts: $60,000 to over $100,000 + tax*
• Tennis courts: $100,000 to $200,000 + tax*

*Please note, these prices include the reinforced concrete slab, court surface and equipment only.

** Price range does NOT include the initial site work e.g. shrub and tree removal, sod and soil excavation, levelling/grading, retaining walls, drainage, irrigation modification etc. We would need to visit the site (assuming it is within our service area) to assess the needs/costs, as the site preparation cost is always site specific.

Yes. Sport Court game courts feature the widest variety and highest quality of components, accessories and equipment. Depending on your interests, these could include our SlamSystem hoops packages, with professional-style tempered glass backboards, lighting systems for night-time play, fencing and rebounders. We also have variable height nets and racquets for pickleball, tennis, badminton, volleyball and other sports. Plus items for tetherball, shuffleboard, batting cages, dasher boards and hockey/futsal goals —virtually everything you would need for years of enjoyment and time together on your court.

We believe a court is generally a good investment for your house – and we are sure that it is an even better investment for your family.

There are many reasons why families/communities choose to install an outdoor game court. Here are a few of the most common ones:

• A Sport Court is a safe place for the kids & whole family to play. A lot of parents want their house to be the hangout house - so that they can watch their kids grow up and get to know their friends too.
• It is great alternative to device/screen time. It is fun, healthy and can be used by all ages.
• You can conveniently practice/train in your own backyard or at your community court.
• Installing a court can transform an underused part of a yard into a highly functional and low maintenance place to play.
• Whether we are installing a brand new court, or refurbishing an old and underutilized slab, a Sport Court is a great place for families and communities to come together.

We are a full service contractor so we can do as much of the project as you need (dependent on location). There are a number of stages:

• SHOWROOM MEETING: Normally we start with a meeting at our showroom (appointment only). At the showroom you will learn more about the different sports, sizes and layouts. As well as the surface and equipment options. We can then give you an itemized quote(s) based on your preferences (for everything except the site preparation).
• SITE MEETING: After meeting at the showroom, if needed, we will visit your yard/communal space to assess the site preparation needs/costs.
• FINALIZE DESIGN: Our custom designs allow you to personalize your court colors and configuration.
• SITE PREPARATION WORK: This stage includes everything needed to create a flat area for the court e.g. the clearing, excavation, levelling, retaining walls (if any), drainage and irrigation modification etc. As mentioned, this stage is NOT included in the budget ranges listed above as the needs/costs are always site specific.
• FOUNDATION: We either pour a concrete slab or install our SportBase material. At this stage the necessary equipment anchors and sleeves are embedded in concrete footings.
• SURFACE AND ACCESSORIES: This is the fun part. The equipment is built, the surface is installed and the playing lines are painted.
• GET PLAYING: Tidy up around the court and enjoy playing for many years to come!

Customizing your court is the fun part. Apart from the size and layout, here are some things you can do to make your court unique:

• COLORS: Whether it’s your school colors, or a scheme that will compliment your house, yard or personal style, you can mix and match from our many standard colors. If desired, we can also match any custom color of your choice (additional fees apply for custom colors).
• GAME LINES: You can design your court to include the playing lines for all the sports and games you want to play.
• CUSTOM LOGOS: Add an extra personal touch to your backyard court with a logo of your favorite team, alma mater, or your family name/crest. For your community/facility court, you can include your own logo and/or sponsor logos (additional fees apply for custom logos).
• ACCESSORIES: We have adjustable height center net systems for pickleball, short tennis, badminton and volleyball. As well as basketball hoops, tetherball, futsal goals, hockey goals and dasher boards. You can also add fencing, rebounders/play back walls and if you want to keep playing after the sun goes down, we have a range of lighting options too.

We are the exclusive Sport Court distributor for Washington State, Northern Idaho and Alaska:

• Surface and Equipment installation: Entire territory.
• Foundation/Concrete work: Up to 2 hours’ drive from our Kirkland location.
• Site Preparation work: Up to 45 minutes’ drive from our Kirkland location.

If you are outside these areas. Then we can work with your local contractor to make sure your court is done right.

Once we start working on your project - depending on the scope of work we are doing - the installation can take just a couple of days or as long as one month.

Potentially - In some communities, you may be required to get certain permits/variances before building your backyard/community game court. There may be some restrictions on size, proximity to your property line, drainage, fencing, or lights. Please note, we leave ALL permitting to the homeowner.

Sport Court surfaces can be installed on concrete, asphalt or our SportBase material. We do not install our surfaces over crushed rock, dirt or grass.

SportBase was invented by Sport Court as an alternative to pervious concrete. Typically we have used SportBase on smaller half court/shooting courts (the average court size for our SportBase courts is approx. 850 sq. ft.), however, we have installed a number of multipurpose courts too.

SportBase has numerous benefits:

• SAFETY and FORGIVENESS: Increased head impact rating and shock absorption.
• DRAINAGE: The highly pervious design means there will be no water runoff reducing drainage needs and potentially avoiding hardscape/impervious surface restrictions.
• ECO-FRIENDLY: 100% recycled (and recyclable) material and much more environmentally friendly than concrete.
• FLEXIBILITY: Our game courts are normally permanent installations, however, the modular design means it can also be portable. If desired, the court can be made smaller/larger in the future or it can be picked up and moved (or even sold) if needed.

SportBase also has some compromises:

• SETTLING: Since the base is modular, if the ground/subbase settles then the base will follow. This typically only happens when the prep work for the court area requires a large amount of fill. If this occurs, it is easy and cheap to fix and the settling will stop over time.
• BALL REBOUND: As the base is modular and more forgiving, the ball response will be lower and potentially slightly more irregular than a concrete based court. This is not really noticeable with high energy balls e.g. foam and air filled balls (although we do recommend pumping basketballs up to their max psi). Please note, the plastic pickleball will NOT bounce well on this type of court - we recommend using the indoor/foam pickleball instead.

Yes. If you have a landscape contractor that you want to work with and/or if the court is part of a larger backyard/landscaping remodel. Then you can prep the court area to our recommended specifications.

If you are located further away from our office, or if the project is very large and/or complex, then we do not offer site preparation. In these instances, it is easier – and more economical – for you to use a local contractor.

Although we like to do our own concrete work when possible (for quality control reasons), if you are either outside our work area for concrete, or if you want to work with another contractor, then you can do this stage yourselves. Please note, this is a very important stage, as the concrete work affects the performance of the court surface – here are a few things to consider:

• Make sure whoever you use is confident that they can do the work to our recommended specifications. If you are doing other concrete work at the same time, then it might be more economical to use one contractor for all the work – however, still make sure they do this kind of concrete work.
• Whoever does the concrete work is responsible for setting the equipment anchors and sleeves (we will provide the hardware and instructions).

Yes we can. Our modular surfaces can be retrofitted to transform an old concrete or asphalt slab. The modular surface will disguise most imperfections in the existing slab, however, you might need to do some cleaning and repair/patching work first.

We have a range of modular surfaces as well as a heavy duty acrylic coating option.

No. We do NOT offer line painting on bare concrete or on existing acrylic/coated courts.

No. This is a service that we do NOT currently offer.

• LOW MAINTENANCE: Looking after your modular court surface is simple. With a little care it will stay great looking for many years.
• LOW LIFE CYCLE COSTS: Because the surface does not need to be reapplied/repainted. When combined with the longevity and easy maintenance the life cycle costs are lower than alternative sport surfaces.
• PLAYABILITY / DRAINAGE: Sport Court game courts can be utilized for year round entertainment and recreation. The open grid design allows water to pass through so you can have more hours enjoying your court.
• FLEXIBILITY: The vast majority of our installations are permanent. However, if needed, our surfaces can be picked up and stored/moved (or even sold) if needed.

Our SportGame PB surface has much improved wet weather traction. That said, any surface — whether grass, artificial turf, or even concrete or asphalt — will be more slippery when wet. Sport Court’s open-grid design sheds water quickly, making it possible to return to action sooner than any other surface. You can use your court year round, however, we do recommend adjusting your play according to the conditions.

Sport Court game courts are constructed with the highest quality and most durable materials, as well as backed with an industry leading warranty. When combined with our 40+ years of installation expertize, we expect your court to deliver decades of safe, fun, play for your family or community.

Durability and ease of maintenance are a few qualities your game court exemplifies. Routine maintenance is simple and easy: A broom, blower, or hose can be used to keep the top surface free of debris, and since water drains quickly through the open grid, your court is ready for play soon after cleaning or inclement weather. If a deeper clean is needed, we have a year-round service crew that can perform a subsurface cleaning for you (additional fees apply).

Our surfaces are constructed of durable polypropylene. In the unlikely event that there is damage, with our patented interlocking flooring system, replacing a section or even a single tile is cheap and easy.
